Daycare

Daycare is for social dogs to have fun in daily, supervised play groups of like size and play style. Our inside play area is 6,000 square feet and our outside play area is over 2 acres with double perimeter fencing.

We offer a Little daycare group, Middle daycare group and a Big daycare group. Each group can have up to 15 dogs with 1 trained staff member.

All guests will be enjoying quality time with their trained Canine Caregiver between the indoor and outdoor play areas. They will be spending approximately a third of their day in free play; a third of their day given the opportunity to rest; and a third of their day learning basic manner and obedience training amongst their friends.

Day Stay

Day Stay is an alternative to our day care program for guests who enjoy private socialization instead of group play or smaller groups of play with other dogs. Guests participating in Day Stay will enjoy their own private room for the day, delicious treats, 30 minutes of play with staff or small group play with 1-3 dogs, as well as, frequent outdoor time.

7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
or 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

REQUIRED - BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT

We require a behavioral assessment for all dogs wanting to use our daycare or boarding services. This used to be a free service but due to time and effort this will now be charged our half day daycare/day stay rate of $15. Assessments are offered only during half day hours, which are 7am-12pm or 1pm-6pm. This is available Monday-Thursday when space is available.

Why do we require your dog to be assessed before booking with us? We want all the dogs to be comfortable with our facility, as well as our staff. We want to see how they handle being in one of our boarding rooms, meeting new people, seeing how they walk on leash, how they handle their anxiety, how they do with other dogs (not required, they can do 1:1 play with staff) and overall if Dogwood is a good fit for them.

Pets not picked up by closing time will be considered overnight guests and charged the standard boarding rate for that evening.
